Fundraising

Due to the current situation our annual charity football tournament for Cancer research UK and St Raphael’s hospice has been delayed and is unlikely to happen this year. Its extremely disappointing as we have made £9,200 to date and were keen to hit our first big target of 10K.

However we don’t want to stop fundraising so we are going to advertise and introduce fundraising to our customers and all associates, we are going to actively fundraise on a daily basis. If anyone from a customer, trade partner, supplier or anyone else we deal with would like to donate then just let us know. All money will go directly to either Cancer research UK or St Raphael’s hospice. We will also be making regular donations ourselves to add to the fund.

Covid-19 Update - September 20

With cases once again rising we are tightening our precautions when working to keep ourselves and our customers safe as much as possible. We are continuing to wear gloves on site where we can which are cleaned between visits. We are sanitising our hands between every job and when starting in the morning to limit transference as much as possible.

When carrying out a quotation visit the wearing of masks can be requested for additional protection if required or in a vulnerable group. When carrying out work we can distance as much as required, we can be shown through the work and then left to it if to keep interactions to a minimum.

For more information please contact us or fill out an enquiry form.

Covid-19 update

We are now largely back to a normal working structure carrying out quotations and work on request. We are keeping to cleanliness regarding gloves and cleaning/wiping as much as possible. Masks can be worn on request, We want you to feel comfortable when we are working within your properties.

We can also carry out video chat quotations on request to speed up the quotation process and aid in social distancing. The work can be discussed and various areas of the property shown to gauge what is required to provide a quotation. Get in touch to find out more!

Covid-19 Update.

With the latest government updates as of last Sunday we wanted to clarify our position with regards to current working practices and our return.

Due to the nature of our work and regular visits to several different households a day we are taking a slow and steady approach back to work for the safety of our team and more importantly our customers. Our team are slowly integrating back together after 7 weeks apart and we are currently only working on two sites. We feel this will give us a careful approach to going back to a more ‘normal’ style of work and being able to monitor our contact with people and ours and others health more clearly.

We anticipate we will return to domestic style work at the beginning of June and will slowly increase work loads from there. Even at this point we will take care regarding health and safety with the same precautions we have done up to this point, including only working alone where possible and keeping to social distancing as much as possible. We can discuss this with clients on a job to job basis. We are still carrying out call outs and emergencies if required and can provide quotations on request.

1st year courtesy check!

We will routinely carry out a 1st year courtesy check on our work if we have carried out a consumer unit change, installed a new circuit or rewired a property. We will usually contact the customer around the anniversary of the work, however customers can contact us if they would like the service.

It is usually a 20 minute appointment which is free of charge , we will inspect the consumer unit, tighten connections and carry out electrical testing spot checks to ensure readings are as should be. We like to ensure everything is still working smoothly and are happy to provide aftercare for our work.

Update on working.

We are still currently only carrying out emergency work or external work that has no contact with the customer. If we are carrying out emergency work and having to enter a customers house we ask that you remain at a safe distance, upstairs or in another room. We will attend with masks and gloves which haven’t been used on another job or have been thoroughly cleaned.

We are cleaning our vans and uniforms regularly and certainly again between different jobs. If you have an emergency do not hesitate to call and we will aim to help in the safest manner possible.

We are still carrying out quotations or providing rough costs as we cant carry out site visits, we can also note your details and contact you when guidelines have been relaxed and we are allowed to do so.

Thank you.

We are still working behind the scenes.

In the current climate our site operations have pretty much ceased in an attempt to keep ourselves and more importantly others safe as we normally work in several households a day.

We are however currently still working behind the scenes and in the workshop. We are still carrying out quotations, available to design your internal/external lighting, diagnose problems or answer questions over the phone and repair light fittings. You can email over your quotation requests or design thoughts/pictures to us and we can take it from there.

If you have a light fitting or lamp that requires repair you can drop it off to us without making contact, book in a time and leave it on the premises. We will then take it in for repair and email you when its ready. It can then be cleaned and left ready for you to collect.

So give us a call, email or contact us on social media and let us know how we can help!

Stay safe everyone!

COVID-19 Update.

In response to the ongoing threat of Coronavirus (COVID-19), we are closely following the advice from the UK
Government. The safety of our customers, staff and wider community is our number one priority and we want to provide some clarity for our customers.

We will continue to work over the coming months as much as possible to help our customers and cover call outs/emergencies until the government states that we must self-isolate. Our staff have been supplied with disposable gloves, antibacterial wipes and masks. Between jobs we will replace gloves and sanitise hands and tools etc.

If any of our staff show symptoms of the virus we will ensure they self-isolate along with anyone they have been in contact with as to not help pass on to the more vulnerable, which is our top priority. We in turn ask that our customers do the same and postpone jobs until their isolation period has ended.

If you would like to postpone a job that has been booked in then please contact us via email or telephone and we can arrange that it is rebooked at a suitable time. Your quotation will remain the same and not run out under these circumstances.

If you have an electrical emergency, please do feel free to contact us as we will do our best to attend and ensure we are as careful and thorough as possible regarding health and safety.
